Danske Bank changes its service model for customers in Germany

Today, Danske Bank has announced our intention to close the Hamburg branch and instead welcome our customers in Germany to our Nordic setup.

This is not a decision we take lightly after some 35 years’ of physical presence in Germany. However, recent years have seen a change in banking patterns amongst our customers. That, combined with the fact that most daily banking needs can nowadays be met digitally and effortlessly regardless of physical location, has prompted our conclusion.

Looking ahead, we will therefore offer our services based on our Nordic platform.

Next steps for you as a customer

We are assessing how to best ensure a smooth transfer of business from the Hamburg Branch into the Nordics. We will reach out to you to discuss in detail in the beginning of next year.

Meanwhile, you do not need to do anything. We will continue servicing you as usual, and we will not take any steps until having agreed with you how to move forward. So please rest assured that you remain in good hands.
