We congratulate the Kingdom of Sweden (Riksgälden) with the country’s inaugural Green Bond! The largest ever Swedish krona denominated Green Bond was successfully issued yesterday, with a strong interest from investors across the globe.
With a final book of SEK 47bn, the targeted amount of SEK20bn was reached. The size of the book also gave the possibility to price inside the issuer’s traditional bond curve, meaning a cheaper funding for Sweden when financing its environmental and climate objectives.
Danske Bank is proud to have acted as Joint Bookrunner on the transaction, thereby supporting Sweden’s environmental and climate objectives, focusing on limiting climate change, strengthening biodiversity, promoting renewable energy and lowering carbon dioxide emissions.
