COVID-19 Update: Bounce in global new deaths but trend still down, positive signals on medical front, stock markets tread water

The bottom line is that there was a bounce in global new deaths yesterday but it seems related to 'seasonality' within the week. The seven-day trend is still gradually lower. Singapore sees more improvement, while Brazil and Nigeria are worsening again. There are some positive signals on the medical front, as the FDA chief hinted at positive results for Remdesivir and Pfizer said an emergency vaccine might be ready by autumn.
