ISO 20022 XML File Validation Tool

In the File Validation Tool you can validate pain.001.001.03 payment initiation files against the overall ISO 20022 XML schema standard(xsd). If the file is schema valid, the tool can also validate the payments within the file.

We recommend you validate your pain.001.001.03 files prior to reaching out to our support as errors are primarily related to the overall XML standard.

How to use the File Validation Tool

In order to use the ISO 20022 XML File Validation Tool, be aware of the following:

  1. You can only validate pain.001.001.03 files with file extension .xml - see format description
  2. The maximum file size allowed is 2MB
  3. Do not upload personal data - use test/anonymized data
  4. If you choose to upload personal data, you are responsible for the legal basis of doing so
  5. Data uploaded will be stored for 24 hours
  6. If you want to validate payments, the account(s) to be debited must be the test account(s) listed below

The Validation Tool has been developed by Danske Bank A/S (the “Bank”) and is available for anyone who wishes to validate a payment file in a format supported by the Validation Tool. The Validation Tool is for testing and information purposes only.

The customer is responsible for the validity of the content used in the Validation Tool. When using the Validation Tool the Bank reserves the right to block your access to the Validation Tool if conditions in your equipment, software or interfaces cause damage, disturbance or other inconvenience to the Bank or the Bank's IT infrastructure.

Please note that the Bank keeps the test data for a period of 24 hours after which it is deleted. We recommend that you do not include live personal information or sensitive personal information in the test data. If the test data does contain personal information, you are responsible for ensuring that there is a valid legal basis for processing of such personal data.

When using the Validation Tool you are aware of and accept the risk in relation to (i) information becoming accessible to third parties as a result of errors or unauthorized instruction on the data transmission line; and (ii) a file being destroyed, lost, damaged, delayed or affected by transmission errors or omissions, e.g. during intermediate handling or processing of data content and any effect this may have on the tests result of the Validation Tool.

The Bank is not responsible for the content or accuracy of the files uploaded to the Validation Tool and the Bank shall not be held liable for any loss or damage (including any indirect or consequential loss) arising under or in connection with the use of the Validation Tool. The Bank reserves all rights in relation to the Validation Tool.

The Validation Tool is protected by copyright and is intended solely for use by the customers of the Bank. It may not be reproduced or distributed, in whole or in part, by any recipient for any purpose without the Bank's prior written consent.
